Connecting with the media has changed over the past decade. No longer is sending a press release to a particular journalist an effective way of generating interest about your news. Practices need to create news on a consistent basis through online services like Phyzoom in order to build their reputation as an active source of knowledge. Journalists, reporters and bloggers use search engines like Google and Yahoo! to find sources for their stories and if they can't find that you are active in creating news (updated website, articles, blog posts, press releases) you most likely won't be contacted for a quote or input.

Now there is a new way to offer your expertise to the media through Phyzoom's Media Connect. As journalists, freelancers, bloggers and others submit their requirements through our system, we distribute these opportunities to the appropriate specialists. For example, if an inquiry is submitted for experts to discuss "What is the target weight gain during pregnancy?" we broadcast the request to our Obstetrician subscribers. Those who respond to the journalist in a timely manner will have an opportunity to become a referenced source.
